Golnaz Hosseini: Herbarium: Life -Minus
Raoul Zoellner: Highway Hike
Jorge Raka: Invasores del Progreso

Mario Kreuzberg is presenting three projects in different spaces at City Salts.

Herbarium Life -Minus in the main space by Golnaz Hosseini (1990, Teheran) shows an installation of paintings that use the flower as a motif. Simple in form, Golnaz's flowers pull away from themselves and into an abject space of reflection where they are not anymore allowed innocence but are instead loud with their silence about what the flowers conceal.

Highway Hike is a video work by German artist Raoul Zoellner (1987, Berlin), who has developed the guided tour into an effective medium to talk about history, politics, mediation, and (auto)biography. He finds ways of accommodating his artistic practice into existing structures by turning liminal tasks and spaces into his arena of action. Highway Hike is a work meant to function as an introduction to his weekend tours for 'KW, a hike', a tour led by Zoellner that takes place once a month in Berlin.

Invasores del Progreso by Jorge Raka (1980, Pucallpa) was initially shown in the cultural center of Pucallpa in 2021 as a way for Raka to engage with his hometown. The works are made to order billboards carrying the names of local celebrities like those made by displaced communities as a form of claim to territory, in the hope that naming these settlements after these local celebrities (more often than not directly or tangentially involved in said displacement) will better their chances of legitimization and survival.
