Autocenter Berlin is an autonomous exhibition venue located in a former autobody shop in Friedrichslain.  Based in Berlin, Autocenter was founded in 2001 by the artists Maik Schierloh and Joep van Liefland. The non-for-profit exhibition space is giving young artists, emerging curators and nascent galleries the opportunity to make themselves heard and seen. The Autocenter in Berlin has been the centre of over 120 exhibitions including over 400 artists over the past decade and continues to be the place to showcase independent artists from Berlin and far beyond. The Autocenter was invited to collaborate with SALTS. The Autocenter is fully and privately funded which ensures full autonomy in pursuing freedom of expression for artists.

This autumn 2011, Autocenter Berlin will hold a charity auction in Berlin to raise the funding to finance the exhibition program and its curatorial platform.
